Do you know how sad it is to handle a Hemlock card, (a 5970 as released) to test out some video decoding and then putting it back in the cabinet and then have to go home to a 4850? I’m going to have to upgrade soon if this keeps going on.

And the worst part is that we only use them for video decoding. No games with massive frame rates, everything turned to the max and marveling at technology. Just the same things I can do with my card anyway.

At least I’m getting some good time in watching movies as I wake up early and leave work later than a normal day. I’ve already watched the 4 Batman movies from 1989-1997 and Face/Off. I can’t say I’ll run out before this term is over with the collection we have.

The drive in also gives me a chance to listen to audio books. I’ve already “read” The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and next is The Picture of Dorian Gray.

The guys I work with are great, I felt at home within the first 3 days. It’s like I’ve been there for months already.

I bought an SSD last week which should be delivered on Tuesday. And once Friday’s paycheque comes in I’m going to get a Nexus One and say goodbye to iTunes forever.
